I wrote previously about how I did not understand how people could be offended by a tame remark I made during a lab session but after my lab mentor called a test animal a ‘mongrol’ because it was a mutt, I understand how the people in my lab felt that day.

Bad Business

Its been a busy few weeks for me. I am doing research, coordinating moving to a new place, doctor visits, and just trying to live life. As a result, I have had to alter traditional ways of how I do a few things so that I can maximize my time. Last Friday, instead of visiting the dealership to get the oil in my car changed, I decided to go to a local Meineke to get it done. The price was the same as doing it at the dealership and the mechanic said it would only take 30 minutes. I thought this was great. My lab director said I could come in an hour later than usual since he would be at a meeting so this oil change should have worked perfectly into my day.
